How do I order my prints?
Head over to our Print Request page and fill out the form to submit a Print Request. Once submitted, you will get a confirmation e-mail that your request has been received. We will review your request to ensure accuracy. If we need to make any adjustments, we’ll let you know. We will then e-mail you your Final Invoice with payment instructions (e-transfer) and estimated completion date. Once we have received your payment, we will begin your order and will notify you as soon as it’s completed!
How do I fill out the form?
Simple! Fill out the required fields marked with an asterisk*. Be sure to include how many pages your document is, how many copies, and if you’d like it printed in Black & White or Color. Note that you are entering the number of pages, and not sheets (one sheet is 2 pages).
If you want your document laminated, select the thickness (or pick None). This is handy for things like reusable worksheets. Don’t choose lamination if you are just wanting your covers laminated. This option is on the next question for Binding.
Upload your file(s) – if they are too large or you’re having difficulty, please use We Send It and e-mail your files to contact@thepapernestpress.com. Select your shipping/delivery method and submit your form. We will be in touch shortly!
How do I upload my files?
Use our form to upload the files you want printed. You can upload multiple files at once, but you are limited to 100 MB. If you need more, visit We Send It (also linked in our form) and e-mail it to us directly at contact@thepapernestpress.com. If you have any issues, feel free to e-mail us as well!
Why do you only accept PDF ready documents?
PDF-ready files are easier to print as it leaves little room for guessing how you’d like your documents to be formatted for printing. If you have files in another format that you would like to print, feel free to reach out to us!
What type of paper do you print on?
All our documents are printing on our standard 24 lb paper. This is slightly heavier than the typical 20 lb copy paper. This ensures high quality for your homeschool documents. Thicker paper can be provided upon request at an additional charge. E-mail us at contact@thepapernestpress.com for custom orders!
What size paper do you print on?
We print your documents on standard 8.5″ x 11″ letter size paper. For custom sizes smaller than this, we can cut to size – please contact us directly for a quote. Unfortunately at this time, we do not offer sizes larger than US letter size paper.
What are my cover options?
If you are binding a document with a cover (front and back), we offer several options. No cover would use the same paper as your document, which is our standard 24 lb paper. You can also choose just a cardstock option (no lamination), cardstock laminated with 3 mil (light and flexible) or 5 mil (thicker and more rigid) laminate, or regular clear binding covers which includes cardstock for the front and back pages.
What are my binding options?
We offer several options for binding: no binding (just printed sheets), 3-hole punch, or black plastic spiral coil. If you are choosing the spiral bound option, please note that we can only bind up to 220 sheets (or 440 pages). If your document is bigger than this, we recommend splitting your document to bind separately, or you can e-mail us to inquire about custom binding options!
What are my Shipping and Delivery options?
We are a small family-owned business, operating out of our home in Aldersyde, Alberta. We prefer pick-up; however, we do offer delivery to Okotoks, High River, and South Calgary (and surrounding areas) for an additional fee. Our current delivery schedule is as follows:
- Okotoks: Weekly on Thursdays
- High River: Once a month (day will be determined based on number of orders received)
- South Calgary: Biweekly on Tuesdays
If you are too far, we offer a flat rate shipping box via Canada Post for documents up to 11 lbs and 3″ thick (basically whatever we can squeeze into that box). If your order is bigger than that, we’ll need to ship with multiple boxes or explore other shipping options. We can review this once your Print Request has been submitted.
What if my community or area is not listed for delivery?
Not to worry! It is difficult to list every area and community. Just let us know where you’re located and we will let you know your options. Choose the closest option to you and we will review it when we review your Print Request and confirm final pricing!
Can I cancel my order?
You can modify or cancel your order any time up until the moment we start printing. Once you’ve submitted your payment and printing has started, unfortunately, your order cannot be canceled.
Do you do custom orders?
Absolutely! It’s hard to capture everything on a form on our website, so if there are booklets or worksheets that you would like printed for your homeschool, e-mail us and we’ll see what we can do to help you out!
